Hong Kong

June 20, 2019

Christian Action is a Hong Kong registered charitable organization established in 1985. Our mission is to serve those who are poor, disadvantaged, marginalized, displaced or abandoned, aiming to give them hope, dignity and self-reliance.

Presently, we operate 23 service points in Hong Kong, many of which seek to serve underprivileged children from low-income communities, new arrivals, ethnic minorities, refugee families, as well as migrant domestic workers. Via provision of vocational training and other kinds of social services, we are happy to report that our mission is reaching goals and continuously upgrading.

We have established the first children’s rehabilitation centre in Qinghai Province in partnership with the local authority – Xining Civil Affairs Bureau (XNCAB) in 1998. Currently, we co-manage five children’s homes in Qinghai with relevant local authorities, serving as a model children rehabilitation centre for the entire province. Awarding our excellent care and the professional support we have continuously offered in Qinghai, we were recognized by the nation as being a “Top Ten” Children’s Home in 2008. Recently, a new Memorandum of Undertaking (MOU) with the XNCAB has been signed. We will partner with XNCAB to establish a new rehabilitation centre in Xining and aim to act as a model for advanced rehabilitation services in the Northwest of China and beyond the 10-year MOU with Qinghai Civil Affairs Dept.

The first thing that matters to me the most is recognising how blessed I am to have food, shelter and a loving family and helping other people who do not have the same comforts.
Sounds a bit corny, but to look after the world a little better day by day. Be it helping those who can't help themselves, from children to animals. Helping support and amazing Elephant Sanctuary in Phuket, Thailand and make a small animated stop-motion movie of the plight of these majestic animals from birth to the passing.
