Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong (LPCUWC) is one of 17 colleges worldwide that share the value and philosophy of the United World Colleges (UWC) movement and the mission of UWC.

LPCUWC is a registered charitable non-profit organisation and relies on the generosity of donations to realise our mission of embracing diversity and inclusiveness.

It is the belief of UWC that no one should be deprived of the opportunity to receive a quality education due to financial circumstances. UWC admits students based on individual merit, and ensures diversity in its student body through the provision of scholarships.

Sharing a firm commitment to diversity, LPCUWC is a boarding school that goes beyond being “international.” We are a vibrant community interwoven by more than 250 students from over 80 different nationalities, cultures, and various socio-economic backgrounds supported by scholarships. Living in a fully residential college, students get to learn from and with friends of different backgrounds in their shared living experiences.

#InspiredChange [Donate today to make the change] We are extremely proud of our teachers - Marit and Hayley - for their courage and determination and their completion of the IronMan 70.3 challenge in South Africa last weekend.

We are so thankful that they decided to use their passion for the outdoors, their personal challenge to raise funds for a future LPCUWC student who wouldn't otherwise afford this opportunity. We have so far raised 5% of our target and have until 17 October to meet our goal!

Congratulate them and support their wonderful cause here:

What a wonderful early response to the start of our campaign! Thanks to the early backers helping us create a life-changing scholarship for a student at LPCUWC.

Marit and Hayley have been busy with the start of a new school year, but that hasn’t stopped us from continuing our training. We also had a 4 hr training session on Saturday (25 August), waking at 5am. This was the last LONG training session before the event as this week we need to taper! The IRONMAN world championship requires hard work and perseverance and we are excited for this challenge!

Last week a couple of our fabulous former students began helping us to create a short film to share more of our journey with you.

In the meantime, please remember to share this campaign with everyone who cares about providing a world-class United World College education to a less advantaged student. Every contribution makes a difference and the total funds raised will potentially be matched, giving your contribution double impact.
