From Death to Life – Life Ambassador Project
As sponsored by Apple Daily Charitable Foundation, “From Death to Life – Life Ambassador Project” has been launched from January 2019 with a series talks, workshops and visits for our members to learn more about hospice and funeral services. On 22 June 2019, we invited Mr. Lok Chung, the in charge of Peace of Mind Funeral Services, to arrange a visit to Wo Hop Shek Cemetery and Crematorium. Mr. Chung used an interesting way to introduce different Chinese clan funeral cultures such as tombstone form and writing, burial mode and architectural design of crematorium, so that our members can understand the funeral service in a relaxed mood and make the most appropriate choice for themselves.

I'm pregnant – why do I need a second HIV test?

In Hong Kong, all pregnant women are tested for HIV during the antenatal period. However, if the soon-to-be mother was HIV-infected in later pregnancy stage, the baby could be infected during childbirth. That’s why, a second HIV testing during late stage of pregnancy is essential because the earlier you receive treatment, the earlier you can prevent giving HIV to your baby!

The Society for AIDS Care offers free HIV testing and hotline services for all women in Hong Kong. Call us for more information: 6730 8050.
