Christian Action Emergency Food Campaign

For 1000 Vulnerable People!

"‘We need food’: as Covid-19 pandemic strikes hard,

desperate Hong Kong families turn to charities for help."

   (SCMP, Aug 1, 2020)

Why are we fundraising?

This year, as Hong Kong is experiencing an unprecedented economic downturn, Christian Action is launching the “Emergency Food Programme” to support 1,000 vulnerable individuals to address their urgent needs in Yau Ma Tei, Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok for 6 months to 1 year.

This programme seeks to provide low-income families and those without welfare support with basics including rice, eggs, cooking oil and milk in order to ease their burdens and to maintain healthier daily lives during these challenging times.

We provide nutritious food for low-income and unemployed families who mainly live in sub-divided flats. By supplying fresh food every month, we help children develop healthily.

Programme Objectives

  • To provide a basic food pack to the low-income / unemployed families, mostly living in sub-divided flats

  • To promote children’s healthy growth through the monthly supply of nutritious food (including rice, eggs and noodles, etc.)

We greatly appreciate donations of any kind.

Together lets help the vulnerable overcome their current obstacles!

** You can also pass this message to your friends, share the need, and help fundraise for the vulnerable. Each dollar goes a long way.
