Refugee Union is the first self-organized society in HK where refugees help refugees.

Since our founding in 2014 we have registered over 3000 members but only half are active monthly as frankly we don’t have sufficient resources to distribute. There are over 500 children of all ages and 40+ babies under the age of four. We believe that together, we are stronger!  

You probably heard it before: "Refugees are not allowed to working in Hong Kong". A statement that resonates with hardship only when you live in a refugee family where the stress levels are through the roof. We smile for the camera but the reality is harsh because government assistance is limited to HKD 3,200 a month for shelter, food, utilities and everything else. 

This Chinese New Year we focus on gratitude because generous donors visited the centre daily supplying clothes, shoes, baby products, toys, groceries and all kind of useful household and kitchen items. Your support makes a huge difference in our lives!

The Year of the Rabbit is a time to celebrate and we look forward to welcoming you at our centre. We humbly hope that you will donate to this crowdfunding program so that we can support more members who have nowhere else to turn to.
