With Christmas coming, everyone deserves the opportunity for a hot, nutritious meal surrounded by friends and family.

But with the fourth wave upon us the reality for those who are homeless in Hong Kong looks very different. One in five Hong Kong residents lives in poverty and lacks access to three basic nutritious meals a day. People are starving in our city and that is not acceptable. At ImpactHK we believe that no one should go hungry this Christmas.

So this #GivingTuesday at homelessness charity ImpactHK, we are asking people to help with our Urgent Appeal for Food for the Homeless.

Just $100 can buy 10 meals for someone in need of food.

As a non-profit, we provide food, shelter, education, employment opportunities and holistic support to the homeless and serve more than 3,000 meals every week in locations all across Hong Kong.

“Our team and our dedicated volunteers are out every day serving food to the homeless in our centres and on the streets. These meals are a lifeline for so many; since the outbreak of Covid demand for meals in our centres have increased six fold. We know a meal isn’t going to fix everything, but it’s important to show these people that we care - especially at Christmas”, says Jeff Rotmeyer, Founder & CEO of ImpactHK.

“Our target is to raise $300,000 HKD in just one week and we believe we can do it with your help”, says Jeff. This amount will allow us to serve 30,000 meals to people experiencing homelessness, local street cleaners and underprivileged seniors.

Support ImpactHK this #GivingTuesday and help bring some joy to those in need this Christmas time.

We are very grateful to SparkRaise who have kindly waived the platform transaction fee for donations.
