Soilless farming made easy in the city!
This launch of the CH8 INDOOR GROWING SYSTEM is the second launch of City Hydroponics!
After the successful launch of our balcony and rooftop systems, installations of which are continuing throughout Hong Kong, we decided it is ready for the next step: indoor growing solutions. The CH8 is the first of two such solutions, fully designed and developed in house.

The CH8 is unique on the market.
- Super compact, this self contained unit fits easily in the corner of your bay window.
- Make use of the bright light, while adding a spark of green to your living room or bedroom.
- No clutter, all your supplies can be stored out of sight inside the unit itself.
- No soil so no risk of fungi or burrowing insects, instead the plants will help filtering and cleaning up the air in the room.
Maintenance is as simple as can be, all that's needed is the occasional top up of water and nutrients. The sun does the rest.
Environmentally friendly and sustainable
The CH8 does need electric power to run, but the amount used is minimal.
- The whole system is designed to run off a mobile phone charger - literally!
- It uses less than 5W of power overall, less than an LED light bulb.
- For additional safety it operates on an extremely safe 5V, the exact same voltage that powers your phone.
You could even connect it to a solar cell, and run it off of that.
Now how is that for sustainability!

Now what really sets the CH8 apart from many other systems is that it is, in reality, a complete and fully functional hydroponic growing system. The nutrients can be added to, plants can be harvested and new plants can be placed in the grow spaces one by one. It is not designed as a one shot demonstration system as we find so often now, where you get a pre-measured amount of nutrient to grow a single batch of plants, after which the device becomes useless as you don't have extra seeds, grow medium or fertiliser. The CH8 instead has a recirculating water system with reservoir. Nutrients can be added, new plants can be grown after the first mature, and it can be used for years upon years to come. |

Complete indoor growing solutions
City Hydroponics doesn't stop at selling you the device, we also source and supply the other components. We understand that you are a small scale grower and not running a large warehouse, so we will happily sell you small quantities of the various supplies.
We work with the limits of the city, we embrace and cherish the city and hope to make it just a little bit greener for those that live in it.
Purchase of any City Hydroponics system also entitles you to a membership of the City Hydroponics club, a social club that is all about growing food within the constraints of the city.
